Bush nominated the first female to become a full General Officer (Four Stars) this week. Interestingly enough, everyone I heard discussing it didn't care that she was a she, just that steps were cut along the promotion line... She didn't hold the Lt. General position for the length of time typically expected.Lt. General Dunwoody (***) was nominated to serve has the head of the Army's supply arm. Her nomination now goes before the Senate for approval.
She has held the title of highest ranking female in the military in the past when she obtained her third star in 2005 from Major General (**).
It has been said that this is an effort to show Republicans favorably in the eyes of females who were looking at Hillary in the past...
